Francesco's Gallery

All things have a connection to Mother Earth. In my soul I am an expression of earth, wind, ether, fire and water. My work expresses an essence of things coming from beneath, reaching for light, wind, and water for sustenance, fire for regeneration and rejuvenation. It is the connectedness of roots to the soil that nourish, feed, wrap and entwine.
The salvaged wood I use become what they wish to represent, as an expression of form and function; thereby maintaining respect for mother earth. My art and my writing will continue to be the impetus for the freeing of my soul and my voice.

Frank [Francesco] DiMaio holds Post Graduate degrees in Healthcare, International Relations, and a 100 ton Masters Near Coastal Captains License.  At the University of New Mexico Department of Fine Arts, he found himself drawn into the sculpting studio and realized he had come home.
Currently, writing under the pseudonym Francesco James, he has embraced writing novels, short stories and professional journal articles to his repertoire of creative expression, drawing on his experience and travel to inspire his stories and diverse characters.
                                                                       Finding my Voice!
"My work is a lesson in spiritual reflection, regression and rejuvenation. An expression of the darkness within; to speak through my art and my words, to have found my voice."

One of his sculpture installations covered an area of five hundred feet on the Rio Grande river public trail system on the outskirts of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Created from surrounding natural materials and designed to last only through the year until the spring melt, and the rising river would reclaim the installation. During the summer of 2015, he was a guest artist at Angeline's Bloomfield Inn in Prince Edward County, Ontario.
His work is in private collections in the United States and Canada.
When asked how his art came to be so organic and curvilinear, he responded by saying.
"All things have a connection to mother earth. In my soul, I am an expression of earth, water, ether, fire and wind. My work expresses an essence of things coming from beneath, reaching for light, wind, and water for sustenance, fire for regeneration and rejuvenation. It is the connectedness of roots to the soil that nourishes, feeds, wraps and entwines. As expressions of artistic form and function, maintaining respect for mother earth. My art and writing will continue to be the impetus for the freeing of my soul and my voice."
